Maggie Hogan

Maggie is our Hiring Manager. Her role involves recruitment, screening and interviewing candidates, and training and onboarding of new caregivers, CCA's and nurses.


Originally from Sydney, Cape Breton, I relocated with my elderly mother to Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) in 2008. My educational and professional background lies in Business Administration and Management. However, my true passion has always been centered around helping others. In my previous roles within other companies, I felt unfulfilled and unable to fully express this passion. When the opportunity arose to join a family-owned and operated organization that genuinely prioritized care and compassion, while also allowing me to utilize and expand my existing skill set, I knew instinctively that it was the right fit for me.
Having personally experienced the challenges of caring for my mother and navigating the complexities of various homecare agencies, I am proud to be a part of Remember When. This firsthand experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the needs and concerns of both clients and their families as well as the challenges for healthcare workers
In my personal time, I find solace and happiness in nature through activities such as walking in the woods, spending time by the ocean, and tending to my community garden. I also enjoy creative pursuits like crafting, aromatherapy and jewelry. Additionally, riding my bike and spending quality time with my two cats help me stay grounded and maintain a sense of balance and well-being. These personal interests allow me to recharge and bring my best self to my work at RWHC.
