Verta Miller
Verta is an integral part of our community outreach team, traveling across the province to promote our homecare services that enable individuals to age in place throughout Nova Scotia. You may catch her at a public event or an expo!
I grew up on a dairy farm nestled in rural Nova Scotia. Upon completing my education at Acadia University in Wolfville, I began teaching Physical Education in the Colchester & East Hants region. I then pursued a higher education, earning a Masters Degree in Curriculum Education. Eventually, I ascended to the role of Principal, overseeing both Elementary and Junior High schools, a position I held until my retirement in 2015. Retirement hasn't slowed me down; if anything, I’m busier now! Physical fitness remains an important part of my life and I relish the outdoors, whether tending to my gardens, enjoying walks with my dog, curling or treating myself to a few rounds of golf. In addition to my personal pursuits, I devote part of my time to Remember When HealthCare where I've found immense fulfillment in sharing our vision and mission with individuals of all ages throughout the province.
