Aging your way starts with changing the conversation

For many people, the word aging still carries weight.

It’s often associated with loss — loss of independence, loss of routine, loss of certainty. And when aging is only discussed in moments of crisis, it’s no wonder families feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unprepared.

But healthy aging tells a very different story.

Healthy aging is about:

  • Staying engaged in life

  • Maintaining meaningful relationships

  • Planning ahead without fear

  • Knowing what supports exist — even if you don’t need them yet

  • Adapting in ways that protect dignity, connection, and choice

That’s the conversation behind the Aging Your Way Expo.

This Expo was created to move aging out of the shadows and into the community — where it belongs. It’s about normalizing planning, celebrating connection, and helping people understand that aging well is not about “doing it all yourself,” but about knowing your options.

This isn’t a healthcare event — it’s a healthy aging experience

When people hear the word expo, they often imagine rows of tables, pamphlets, and pressure to buy something.

That’s not what the Aging Your Way Expo is.

This Expo is designed to feel:

  • Warm, welcoming, and human

  • Educational without being overwhelming

  • Practical without being clinical

  • Fun, engaging, and community-driven

It’s a place to explore all aspects of healthy aging — not just medical care.

You’ll find conversations about:

  • Staying active and mobile

  • Maintaining social connection

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing

  • Navigating change with confidence

  • Planning ahead to reduce stress later

  • Aging in place with support

Because aging is life — not a diagnosis.

Free admission, open doors, and no pressure

One of the most important parts of the Aging Your Way Expo is this:

Admission is free.

There is no cost to attend, no expectation to sign up for services, and no pressure to make decisions. This event exists to share information, spark conversations, and build confidence.

The Expo is open to:

  • Adults aged 55+ who want to age well

  • Women aged 50–65+ supporting partners or parents

  • Caregivers who feel stretched, unsure, or burned out

  • People living with disabilities who want to remain active and at home

  • Families who want to understand their options before crisis hits

You don’t need to be “ready” for care. You don’t need a referral. You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need curiosity.

Why healthy aging needs a broader lens

Too often, families only talk about aging when something goes wrong.

A fall. A diagnosis. A sudden change.

But by the time those moments arrive, families are already stressed — and often forced to make decisions quickly.

The Aging Your Way Expo is about shifting that timeline.

It’s about giving people access to information before they’re overwhelmed. About helping families understand that aging well involves:

  • Community

  • Companionship

  • Planning

  • Flexibility

  • Support

Healthy aging isn’t about avoiding change — it’s about being ready for it.

Who benefits most from attending

This Expo is especially valuable for:

  • Women who carry the emotional and practical weight of caregiving

  • Couples planning how they want to age together

  • Adult children navigating care for parents while managing their own families

  • People living with disabilities who want to remain active and engaged

  • Anyone who wants to stay connected to their community as life evolves

Families often tell us:

“We wish we had known this sooner.”

This Expo exists to make “sooner” possible.

Vendor opportunities: be part of a meaningful community event

We’re currently accepting vendor applications for both Expo locations.

If your organization supports:

  • Healthy aging

  • Seniors and older adults

  • Caregivers and families

  • People living with disabilities

  • Wellness, mobility, planning, or connection

We’d love to hear from you.

Vendors are selected based on alignment with the Expo’s values:

  • Education over selling

  • Integrity and respect

  • Community benefit

  • Clear value for attendees

This is an opportunity to connect with families in a thoughtful, meaningful way — not a transactional one.

Feature presentation applications now open

Do you have expertise, lived experience, or knowledge that could help families age well?

We’re also welcoming feature presentation applications for both Expos.

Ideal presentations:

  • Educate and empower attendees

  • Support healthy aging and quality of life

  • Address real questions families have

  • Share practical tools or insights

  • Inspire confidence and connection

Presentations should be informative, inclusive, and non-salesy.

Why Remember When HealthCare created this Expo

At Remember When HealthCare, we spend every day talking with families who are doing their best — often without enough support or information.

We see:

  • Caregiver burnout

  • Confusion about what services exist

  • Fear of “doing the wrong thing”

  • Guilt around asking for help

We also see what happens when families are supported early:

  • Less stress

  • Better planning

  • Stronger relationships

  • More confidence

  • Better quality of life

The Aging Your Way Expo is an extension of that philosophy. It’s about education, stress relief, and personalized support — long before a crisis forces decisions.

Beyond the Expo: a bigger conversation

Healthy aging isn’t a single event. It’s an ongoing conversation.

We hope attendees leave the Expo with:

  • New knowledge

  • New connections

  • New confidence

  • A clearer sense of what’s possible

And perhaps most importantly: A reminder that aging doesn’t mean shrinking your life — it can mean reshaping it with intention.
