Creative Solutions for Everyday Challenges
At Remember When HealthCare, we often hear from families who feel stuck. They want their loved one to maintain independence at home—but mobility issues, limited access, or daily frustrations stand in the way. That’s where the Tetra Society of North America (Atlantic Region) steps in.
Through a network of skilled volunteers, Tetra designs and builds custom assistive devices for older adults and persons living with disabilities. Each project is tailored to every individual’s needs, helping them navigate life more safely, comfortably, and independently—and it’s all done at no cost to the client.
What Kind of Devices Does the Tetra Society Create?
Tetra’s assistive devices are one-of-a-kind solutions that support independence in all areas of life, including:
Mobility (e.g., custom ramps, transfer aids)
Personal care (e.g., grooming tools, eating devices)
Communication (e.g., adapted switches, tech holders)
Home access (kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms)
Vehicles and workplaces
Hobbies, recreation, and daily living tasks
There is truly no request too big or too small. Every device is crafted with the goal of reducing environmental barriers and supporting dignity and quality of life.
Why This Matters for Families and Caregivers
Whether your loved one is recovering from surgery, adjusting to a new diagnosis, or navigating the effects of aging, the right assistive device can be life-changing. These custom tools ease caregiver strain and support longer-term independence at home.
Tetra’s work is especially valuable for families managing disability support, care after hospital discharge, or memory care where routine, safety, and confidence make a major difference in daily life.
