The Equipment Loan Program
One of the most powerful offerings from the ALS Society is their free Equipment Loan Program. On average, a person diagnosed with ALS will require over $80,000 worth of medical equipment throughout their illness. The ALS Society provides hospital beds, mobility aids, communication devices, and more—at no cost to clients in both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.
They are also the only ALS Society in Canada that loans out breathing equipment—a critical part of care for many.
