At Remember When HealthCare, we believe the best way to build a stronger healthcare future is by supporting the next generation of professionals—not just in nursing and caregiving, but in every corner of our organization. That’s why we’re proud to be a participant in the Nova Scotia Co-operative Education Incentive (CEI) program in partnership with the Nova Scotia Government and Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC).
This initiative connects students with employers in their field of study, giving them the real-world experience they need to launch meaningful careers. For us, that meant welcoming Cody MacDougall to our team.
Bringing Business Skills and Heart to Healthcare
Cody is currently working with us as part of his Diploma in Business Administration and Accounting Certificateprogram at NSCC. He’s set to graduate next year, and we’re lucky to have him in the office helping with operations, finance tasks, and client communication.
If you’ve called our main line recently, you may have spoken with Cody already. And if you’ve seen a new friendly face in the office, there’s a good chance it was him!
But Cody brings more than business savvy. His personal connection to home health services gives him unique insight and empathy. He lives with his 83-year-old grandfather during the school year—someone who relies on professional homecare providers to live independently and safely at home.
“I know how important these services are,” Cody shared. “That’s what made me want to help however I can.”
A Strong Work Ethic—and a Great Shot!
Born in Cape Breton and raised in Pictou County, Cody is proud of his roots and always eager to grow. He’s known around the office for his strong work ethic, quick learning, and outgoing personality.
“I get great satisfaction from completing tasks,” he says. “So I always strive to do my best.”
When he’s not working or studying, you’ll probably find Cody outdoors—whether it’s throwing a baseball, shooting hoops, or swimming at the beach. His active lifestyle mirrors his drive in the workplace: energetic, team-oriented, and always moving forward.

Why Co-Op Education Matters in Home Health Care
As a healthcare company that values integrity, innovation, and community, we see immense value in the CEI program. It allows students like Cody to gain practical experience while also contributing meaningfully to organizations that serve Nova Scotians.
By involving business and administration students in our operations, we strengthen our foundation and ensure that our home health services, disability support, and in-home foot care services remain organized, efficient, and client-focused.
It’s not just about what Cody learns—it’s also about what he brings.
Thank You, Cody!
We’re grateful to Cody for his commitment and curiosity, and we can’t wait to see where his career takes him. Whether it’s behind the desk or over the phone, Cody is already making a difference at Remember When HealthCare.
